Salutary Sunday

Today was a very lazy, yet productive day.

I started the day off with a cup of mixed half decaf half regular coffee {because regular coffee ruins my belly}...

{Aren't I stunning first thing in the morning? Sometimes I think I just shouldn't take a shower and walk around looking like this...  :-P }

I then did things around the house like laundry, stirred the compost bin, sewed a new zipper in a jacket for a friend of Vince's, and watched the dogs play in the backyard.

I also brought my sister her camera and saw baby Alyla and Nick's family, then Vince and I went and hungout with my dad, stepmom Pam and brother Will. Will kept telling me he was Avatar the last Airbender and was showing off his wind, earth, fire and water bending skills! He did take some time off to play the didgeridoo, though. What a cultured kid, I tell ya...

After hanging out there we came home and made a wonderful salad consisting off lettuce, red bell pepper, avocado, tomato, parmesan cheese, peperoncinis, and CAPERS. Oh man, capers are delicious.

For dessert I had some papaya and cool whip, though it wasn't very good...the papaya wasn't sweet enough, so I only had a little bit.

All in all it was a good day.

 But anyways...on with the Salutary Sunday post!

This week I made some more jewelry. Yay!

 I made this yesterday and I am IN LOVE with it.  Luckily I have enough beads to make more than one because I don't know if I'd be able to sell it! I also went and bought some new beads today so I'll be making some more stuff soon. ♥

Hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. Cute picture. I love your outfits. And that necklace is really pretty. I would wear it for sure. Maybe you can help me make jewelry if I buy some supplies. I LOVE wearing a cute necklace with every outfit, but paying like $8-$12 dollars for something i know i can get the beads for and stuff for like $1 at michaels is ridiculous. =] let's make some stuff together. can't wait for dinner on thursday. =] you should show me your crafter room and your beads and stuff.

  2. We should definitely make necklaces. You'd be surprised at how expensive jewelry is though if you buy good stuff and not just plastic beads...you'd spend more that 12 bucks! And i'm excited for Thursday too!

  3. Hello fellow Flagstaff blogger! (I think you are the first I've met, actually.)

    I just wanted to say that you are very talented! I am pretty new to jewelry making and let me tell you, it is difficult! (Though, I'm sure you already know that.) I have a lot of respect for you! I hope that I can be as good as you someday, haha.

    Anyways! Sorry for rambling. I am now a follower and look forward to reading. :)

    Oh and love your tattoos!

  4. Hey! You're the first as well! {Aside from people that I know personally}

    Thank you so much! Jewelry making is pretty tricky to get used to, but if you keep trying it will become pretty easy, I promise. =]

    I am now a follower of your blog, too, it's so darling! I look forward to getting to know you a little more. <3 <3
