Looky here, looky here.

I cut my hair today! Here's the before & after:
5-2
I told you I'd be doing it this week, AND I ACTUALLY DID IT.

It's a little bit shorter than I wanted it, but my hair grows pretty fast so it'll be the length I want it in no time.

When I cut my hair this short last year, I used the Aveda Phomollient product before I would dry it and it's awesome. It smells good, doesn't make my hair feels greasy or stiff or anything, and it actually gives my thin hair some body! I HIGHLY recommend it. Oh, and can you tell a difference in my eyebrows? I got them done for the first time today, and all I can think of is why it took me so long! I never cared about what they looked like and thought it would be a hassle, but I tacked it on at the end of my hair appointment and I LOVE them now. (Um, am I really saying I love my eyebrows? Fucking weird.) It didn't hurt at all, though my eyes did water, so that was good.

Soooo that's all. Sorry if your friends with me on Facebook or follow me on Instagram (@iffyinklings) and you've already seen my haircut!

  1. I can't believe how long it got! It looks very cute and I'm always so nervous about eyebrows. I want to get them done but I feel like it'll hurt really bad since tweezing even one hair hurts so bad!

    1. It hurt SO much less than tweezing! She did four strips (top and bottom of both brows) and it didn't hurt. She had to go back and pluck 3 or 4 hairs and that's when it sucked! The wax didn't hurt at all though and it took like 4 minutes total. So quick and easy! My eyes did water, but she said that she's been doing her own for almost 15 years and her eyes still water. haha

    2. That's good to know. I think the beauty college in Flag always did it for like $10 or $15. I bet I can find somewhere cheap here too and do it some time. =]

  2. ohhhhhhh it was soooooo lonnnnnnng! (My hair grows at snail rate so I get all worked up about it) But your short hair looks so cute! And short hair is soooo nice to have. No tangling, no mess, and it seems to have more bounce. Way fun, especially for summer.

I'll have to put that on my to-buy list, cause yeah, my hair is fine to the point of barely existing. It's not thin, which is the only reason I don't look bald. lol.

Did they tweeze or wax your eyebrows?

    1. I love long hair when I see it on other people, but it just didn't work for me. It was always getting caught in zippers during the winter, getting caught in my armpits (so gross and annoying), it would choke me when I slept (I seriously woke up all the time during the night because it was wrapped around my neck! haha) so I was done! I think I've worn it down like 4 times in the past 2 months, and all those times it was in a ponytail within an hour!

Definitely buy that stuff though, it's awesome! I've never come across a product that don't feel/look weird in my hair except this!

The lady waxed them. There were 3 or 4 hairs she had to tweeze after, but that was it luckily because the tweezing was what fucking hurt!
