Sometimes...

Sometimes...

It's hard for me to admit defeat. I like to do things well, so I don't like admit when I don't do something well.

I'm reminded of how much I love the way I was raised every time I find a good deal on something. I was always taught to shop around and pay attention to prices!

I feel self-conscious when I have healing tattoos and people ask to look at them. Seriously. They look insanely disgusting and if no one has seen a healing tattoo before they're always kind of taken aback, as if my tattoo will look that bad forever.

I am mildly dishonest when I say I want to be a stay at home mom. Between Vince and I, he would definitely be the better and more sane parent to stay home. I would miss working too much! Vince, on the other hand, is a way more patient and 'go with the flow' type.

I can't imagine a world without good foods. It's scary to think how back in the day during wars people just simply ran out of certain foods like butter or fruit. I take advantage of it daily, but at times when I'm walking through the store I think, 'Man, it would be a sad thing if some day we weren't able to buy [insert delicious thing here].'

I'm surprised that I still listen to Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'. When I am working out, the ONLY thing to get me through it is to listen to that song, frequently on repeat. I don't like any of her other songs, but this one just sends me flying! The other day in spin class when I was about to die (or throw up), it came on insanely loud in a remix and I thought, 'Yaaaaa. Get some!' and finished class like a badass.
Me, tired after spin class, more cardio, and weight lifting.
I get a little too easily wrapped up in anything new that I do. When I learn something new, like crocheting, cooking a certain type of muffin, or rearranging my house, it's all I can focus on for a while. It's hard to get me pulled into something else. And when that does happen? I get wrapped up in something new!

I indulge in guilty pleasures like drinking a Pepsi when I wake up really early in the morning. I typically try to keep away from soda, but on mornings that I wake up really early I treat myself to one. Don't judge. If you compare it to a small frilly drink from Starbuck's or a morning donut, there's less sugar!

I wish all things in life were as wonderful as good good days. You know, those days that you wake up and immediately feel at peace and that continues all day, even when something that normally wouldn't be good comes up? Those are pretty wonderful.

Today I linked up with Young People in Love after seeing it on To Make Love Stay.
Fill this out in the comments or do this on your blog and tell me you did it! I liked this one and would be curious to see your answers!

  2. Aw I like this! And I love your workout outfit! I wear stuff like that to my dance classes all the time. In high school I always wore shorts over my tights and leotard and got picked on. Now everybody's doing it!
In everyone's defense, I wore really weird shorts. Like these bright purple ones with the Super Mario mushrooms all over them, some gray ones with The Beatles on them that were probably actually boxers, and some pink Barbie ones from the little kids' section.

    1. Honestly, I did it because I was afraid my who-ha would be all sweaty from cycling! HA! But I like the style, I feel less 'naked' than if I were to wear just leggings! When I run outside in the cold I have different awesome expensive ones that I wear by themselves, even though they are skin tight!

I think it's awesome that you wore weird shorts! I mean, if you are going to look silly, (which I think most people do when they work out) then you might as well go all out!

    2. Ha ha ha, I love your honesty! I do miss those shorts. Now I just have skorts. They're way less interesting.

  3. Hehehe, I totally know what you mean about the healing tattoos! My half-sleeve didn't have any lines, so in its initial stages it looked pretty awful even post-healing! It didn't look totally freaking awesome until it was all done...and in the healing stages it looked like a skin disease. Albeit a very colorful one. :)

  4. Neato! I may do this one - it looks fun! That's a fantastically hilarious picture of you. I love the expression on your face. I'd have a hard time missing food, too.
