Fashion {or lack thereof}

My new maternity shirt! For my non-maternity body! Yay!

Sweet deal for $8.

{Ponytail!!}

I love the stretch on the sides. It's so cute!

{This picture kind of makes me look like I have a baby bump, but I don't think it looks like that in real life. Hehe.}

I also like this shirt because it covers my arm tattoo and most of my chest tattoo. I noticed that most of the shirts I bought this past weekend cover the majority of my tattoos. Sometime I just really don't feel like showing them off and talking about them, and I'm getting sick of wearing my sweater to cover them! The public is just so nosy sometimes...

It was also nice to wear a pair of cute earrings with this shirt.

I am terribly sad to say that my ears closed up over the past week, meaning no cute gauges. ='( I tried to put some earrings in this weekend and NOTHING. My gauges would not go in. I tried water and oil and my ears wouldn't budge! My left ear is maybe a size 8 and my right is is like a 12. It's weird they one closed faster than the other...

I don't have any steel gauges right now to stretch them again, and I don't really feel like paying for them. I love the look, but not the pain on my wallet! {Or ears for that matter...}

Because I forgot to put some gauges in the past week, I think the antibodies that were fighting my sickness made my ears close faster. I've gone a couple weeks without wearing any gauges before and they didn't close! I'm super sad about it, but I guess once the holes get back to regular size I'll continue to wear cute regular earrings that I make. It seems as if everyone has gauged ears nowadays anyways, so I'll be different...right?

  2. I looove how amazing you look in these pics! This shirt was a sweet purchase. You would never know that it was intended to be maternity...you look amazing, comfy, and super skinny (like a model!!). I am sorry about your gauged ears closing up...but at least your fistula's (fancy name for earhole...hee hee) have a nice shape to them in their smaller state. This is good because you can wear the cute earrings you have in and not worry! I stretched mine by using pinchers...that I actually got from HotTopic. As long as you have no acrylic allergies you can gently stretch yours back out with those...and it won't cost too much. Either way...your soooo pretty and you have a new comfy shirt..so its all good! 3. I think it looks great! It's nothing like I was expecting. It definitely won't even look maternity. You and your earings are lovely. =]

  4. Thank you! That gives me a big smile hearing that from you. =D And I forgot about the pinchers! That's what I used when I originally did it, from Hot Topic as well. hehe I'll have to dig around and see if I can find them. I bet they are still in the 2 bathroom boxes I have yet to unpack...from when we moved 5 months ago!

  6. Cute earrings! Also, dang you're skinny!

    I think your left hole closed faster than your right because your heart is on the left side, so it gets more blood flow? Also, if you can't find your pinchers (I have no idea what these are) K'momo in the mall has REALLY cheap plastic tapers, great for gauging. But, they're plastic, so I wouldn't wear them longer than you have to.

  7. I won't say I'm not skinny {I have thyroid problems! haha} but I'm not as skinny as I look. It's my height that makes me look super skinny! I'm average size, size 7!

  9. I really like those earrings. Also, I can't believe that's a maternity shirt! It looks so cute! (Okay, so maybe there are cute maternity clothes, I've just never thought about it before.)

    Also, thank you for your feedback on my electronic portfolio. Outside perspectives are so important for that kind of thing. And thanks for your compliments! Email me your address if you want my "prize" for participants.

  10. I never thought too much about maternity clothes either, until I tried them on! hehe

    And no problem! I know how important those kind of things are. Good job on it, I hope you find a job soon after graduating!

  11. I love the shirt, and love love love that you can't even tell it's a maternity shirt. And I totally know what you mean about the tattoos. As much as I love mine, sometimes I'm just not in the mood to explain them to everyone.

  12. Thanks!! And ya, explaining is so annoying. Especially when there is nothing to explain about my chest tattoo...I just like sewing! hahah
