For Women Only =)

So this post is for the ladies because I'm going to talk about periods! Gross, I know! But not really. It's a bodily function that we'll have to deal with for many more years, so get used to it.

When I was on the pill, I didn't have any cramps and life was perfect. Well, when it came to my period. But ever since I went off of it, I have the WORST PMS symptoms ever. I get extremely grumpy, a bubbly stomach and life pretty much sucks. A whole lot. Does anyone else feel that way?

Well, I bought some tea a while back that said was supposed to ease PMS symptoms, and it truly does help! My first cup tastes a little funky to me, but I got used to the taste by the time I finished drinking it. It's definitely not a tea I would crave or want to drink all the time, but for its purpose it's good. It doesn't taste bad.
It's Yogi brand tea called Woman's Moon Cycle. This is from their website:

"Rely on our uniquely crafted herbal formula to help relieve the minor tensions and discomfort of your monthly cycle. We combine dong quai, the most respected restorative herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine, with chaste tree berry and organic raspberry leaf, used for centuries in Europe, to address common PMS symptoms. Juniper berry, a traditional herb, can help ease water retention. Plus, fragrant chamomile helps relax the mind and soothe the body.* Infuse harmony and comfort into the days of your monthly cycle with a calming cup of Woman’s Moon Cycle®."

As you can see, the directions say to drink 1-2 times a day even when you aren't on your period, but I don't. I just drink a lot of it when I'm on my period or about to start and it helps immensely. So, if you have PMS symptoms, be sure to buy some of this stuff! It's awesome. I bought it from a natural food store, but you can buy it anywhere that sells Yogi Tea! And a warm rice back on my belly always helps. =]

  1. That's great Stef! I am sad to have mine back after many many months. Its supposed to stay away while you're breastfeeding but since I've been at school two days/week and he's sleeping all the way through the night, I have started again. All the 'stuff' for hormones says dont take it while you're nursing. Oh well, stuck in the middle again. Have a peaceful day!! Sofya

  2. Aww bummer! It WOULD be nice not to have to have it for a while but also to not be pregnant. And that's true, no extra hormones for you! =[ Hopefully yours aren't bad though!
