Phoenix/In-N-Out/P.F. Chang's/Heaven

The other morning I woke up panicked to Vince saying, 'Oh my god. OH MY GOD.' I of course freaked out yelling, 'What? What?!' only to have him say that all the leaves that were on the trees yesterday have now blown off. It's safe to say I was a little annoyed with his over-dramatization! He continued to say, 'The leaves, they're gone! They're just gone!' while I laughed away. It was amazing how fast it happened, so I'll give him that.

I saw that as the official start of fall because that day our nice 70 degree weather dropped into the 50s and low 60s and has stayed windy since then. That's why I was happy to take a short trip to Phoenix with Vince to pick up our friend Eric from the airport.

We only stayed down there for half the day because I had class that night at 6, but the weather was absolutely perfect and I got to eat at In-N-Out and P.F. Chang's. I was a happy girl! We weren't planning on going to In-N-Out, but as soon as we drove into Phoenix I was like, "Vince, look up In-N-Out now. I'm hungry and can't make it to the airport.'

And it's a good thing we did stop or I would not have made it to the airport with ripping his head off. I get a little grumpy when I'm hungry and we had to drive in a bunch of circles at the airport!
After we picked up Eric  we stopped by a Ski Pro shop so Vince could look at some skis he wanted in person. Well, he ended up not being able to see the skis at all because ones of the sales guy just kept trying to sell him stuff, would not leave us alone, and just kept talking and talking! It was so annoying. Vince would just have to look at something and the guy would start in on a story about a guy who owns that or how he could give Vince a deal. I just wanted to tell him to go away. After he continuously was telling Vince to look at various things, I said we weren't buying anything that day, no matter how good of a deal it was. In response to that he thought it would be funny to say, 'OK Mom,' as if insulting me would make me want to buy something. (Not that I think Mom should be an insult, but that's how he implied it.) Then he kept making that joke and calling me Mom! Ya, not a good way to make a sale, bro.

Once we left the ski shop we went to my beloved P.F. Chang's lettuce wraps. They have a gluten free menu and make such delicious food. I was in heaven.

Sadly, we then had to hit the road and go home to play with Roxi dog and go to class. Roxi seems to think she reigns over the picnic table and always stands on it when we're around it.

  1. Aw Roxi is so darn cute!
I love short little trips like that. Phoenix is definitely not my favorite place but a short little trip down there once in a while is so perfect!

    1. The weather was so nice that we were able to sit outside, but after a few minutes I started smelling the canal that was a little ways away and was like, "Man, even when it's nice outside you can't enjoy it because it smells like crap!"

  2. I agree. Also, that iron bedframe in the background is awesome and I kind of want to steal it =)

    1. I LOVE that frame! It's my neighbors though, or it would totally be in my room! She moves in a week so maybe she'll leave it?!

  3. That sales guy was balls! PF Changs is YUM! We are getting In n' Out when we go back. Your reminder of the temps made me realize we left all our plants outside. :(
