Distraction from your daily life...

Ok, ok, enough of the comments, texts and emails already...I'm posting!

I've just been too distracted to write anything recently. In fact, as I started to right this my dog started choking on her bone and I had to go check on her! Then I almost decided to touch up the paint on the edges of the doorway in my living room that peeled off when I took off the painters tape. BUT NO. I stopped myself and am here at my kitchen table typing away. Yes, I have a kitchen table. Did I mention that yet? We bought this one from Target, and I will show a picture of the whole kitchen soon, when it isn't covered in homework. I love doing homework at it because it's a high bar-stool style and it's a perfect fit!

Some fun things that have happened:
KIX ARE GLUTEN FREE. So help me God, folks, if anyone knew about this and didn't tell me? You're going down. Every once in a while I'll walk down the cereal aisle in the grocery store and pick up a box of my favorite cereal, just to check if it's gluten free yet. 9.99999 times out of 10, it is still filled with gluten (I mean really, are Wheaties ever going to be gluten free? I think not.) but this time the heavens shined down and I discovered that Kix are gluten free. I literally let out a little 'Eek!' sound, loud enough for the guy int he same aisle to laugh at me. Then I read the ingredients list 8 or 9 times and asked myself what I wasn't allowed to eat on a gluten free diet, because surely I was thinking wrong. But nope. I cam home, ate 5 (!!!) big bowls, and was fine. Ok, so enough about cereal.

My mom had a Total Disc Replacement surgery on her back. I woke up way before dawn and took her to the hospital to get ready. After hours of waiting, we heard she had a textbook surgery and everything went great! She even had the doctor who created the disk in on her surgery and he flew in from France specifically to see her! How awesome is that? Hopefully this will now fix her back problems for good.

My brother spent the night at my house! My dad won some tickets to a show on Friday night, so my little bro came over to play lots of Sonic, watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, and eat cookies. He told me he wanted to live with me because my house was so fun. Aww, how sweet! But no thank you. One funny thing was that Roxi kept trying to push Will off the couch, because that's where she sleeps. In the morning he was sitting there playing on my phone and she kept slowly laying on him and pushing him, and he moved from one side of the couch to the other.

Bath time with the niece! She loves water so much I feel like I should take her to swimming lessons!

Tea with the bestie. It's so great to just sit and talk for hours and not get bored.

And lastly, a new dress! I broke out the new tripod I've had for a couple months now and used it. I must say, I would suck as a fashion blogger.

Dress/Belt: Basement Marketplace (fav local store!) Tights: Target Boots(that you can't really see): Ross

Ok, so this post should be good enough for another week, right? Hehe, I'm just kidding. Hopefully I'll feel the desire to post again soon.

  1. aw, don't stress yourself with writing a post. It's okay to live your life without the pressure to come blog, though I do enjoy reading any posts you write! :) I hope the surgery helps your mom. My back is so messed up, I need surgery but I am too chicken to have it, so I keep on keeping on! Very cool that the doctor flew in from France!

    1. I try not to stress, but sometimes I do! It's not like a bad stress though. =)

I hope the surgery helps her as well! she was super nervous going in to it because she's has a tons of other things they've tried on her back, but she finally ran out of options. We'll see how it turns out! Hopefully you figure out what works best for you and that if it is surgery, you can do it!

    1. It was so funny to watch. Will wasn't really paying attention as she was pushing him off since he was playing his game. Once he reached the edge though, he looked up and was like, 'What?!'

  3. Aw yay, I've missed you! But I get it... some days I'd rather get my life done than my blog done. =]
Love that dress though, and I AM SHOCKED about Kix!! Even though you probably already know, I feel obliged to tell you that Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles are GF... because I'd hate to be the guy who knew and didn't tell you about THAT, yikes!

    1. I haven't done much in real life though! haha

But ya, I was so shocked too! I just kept reading it over and over! They used to put malt barley in it for the crunchiness to it, but they don't anymore! And yes, I love Fruity Pebbles!!
