The Mormons are right. Kinda.

It's scary to hear that so many people are starting riots, even if it's on another continent. I read articles like this that say it's spreading, and I cringe to think of something so huge happening in the US.

Vince and I were talking last night as we watched the news about the riots {and it didn't tell us why everything was going on, I had to research it on the internet} and we were shocked that they took away phone and internet. It completely makes sense because it might not cause the news to spread around the country like wildfire, but it's so scary to think about! What if it continues to grow, and the government decides to shut down power, or stop sending water or gas to certain areas of town? The government has SO much control over EVERYTHING. I'm not saying I hate the government or anything{I just disagree with many things}, but when it comes down to it, they are in control of almost every citizen.

What it really does is unleash my inner Mormon and makes me want to go buy tons of food, propane, candles and blankets! I mean, the government in Egypt did turned off cell phones and internet, which is extremely dangerous, so why wouldn't they take it further? What if you were in labor and didn't have a house phone?!

Though I don't agree with the religion, Mormons are smart that they are always wanting to be prepared. That's all I'm sayin'.

  1. Hehe. Funny reading this from a non Mormon. I didn't know people notices these things. I need to be a "better Mormon" and stock up for sure!! I also need to learn how to use the stuff we store. Like wheat... Where do I go with that stuff??!

  2. I was raised Mormon so I still have a lot of the values instilled in me! haha Since I have food allergies I also stock up on certain foods when they're on sale {like Rice Chex}.

Certain things like wheat do't make sense for everyone if you don't use it, ya know? The only thing you really use wheat for is baking!

Because I was baptized, I still get to use the food storage equipment...is that bad of me? haha
